Trash Collection Rules and Guidelines

All regular household trash should be bagged only in the official Town-approved PAYT trash bags before being placed out for collection. Items not in town-approved bags will NOT be collected or accepted.  No exceptions will be made.

Please put your curbside materials in appropriate containers (trash, recycling, and compostables)

Do not place the following items in the town-approved PAYT bags:

  • Recyclable plastic, glass, or metal

  • Yard waste

  • Dirt, sod, concrete, or rock

  • Construction/demolition debris

  • Household hazardous waste

  • Hot ashes or flammable materials such as oil, gas, or paint

Please Note: Trash and recycling are NOT picked up on the following holidays: Pick up for these Holiday’s are delayed by one day.

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Day
