WHAT TO THROW AWAY?

All regular household trash should be bagged only in the ORANGE PAYT bags before being disposed of at the transfer station. No exceptions will be made.

Do not place the following items in the trash bags:

• Recyclable plastic, glass, or metal

• Yard waste

• Dirt, sod, concrete, or rock

• Construction/demolition debris

• Household hazardous waste

• Hot ashes or flammable materials such as oil, gas, or paint

 

Note: Before throwing away cans of latex paint, please open the cans, and then bag and dispose of any paint in municipal trash.  Please completely dry out the empty can before throwing away. Please, no oil-based paints. Safely store oil-based paints and dispose of them at the spring or fall Town Household Hazardous Waste Day event.
